“Basic Space” by The xx

Reblogged from my brooklyn is better (thx Tony!). I absolutely fell in love with this song and I can’t stop viewing the video. You don’t need fancy shit to make something dope. Simple beauty.

Ira Glass on Storytelling

Lately, there’s been much discussion (amongst my friends and I) around “creative drive” – that inherent awareness that we are still unsatisfied and looking to push our work further…where does our tenacity come from? Ira Glass points out that the gap between ability and taste, is what drives creative people to achieve great things. So weird…I’ve never thought of it as a gap…when I think of it now, it’s kinda like “duh!”

“Might Be Poisonous”

“No One’s Fault But My Own”

“The Best Intentions”

The work of Tiffany Bozic should have been my first post – I can never get enough of this woman’s work. I love the way she thinks and executes her ideas. I’d crap my pants if I could have one of her pieces hanging on my wall.

“Tyger”

This is an oldie but still one of my favorite animations. It’s a short animation by a Brazilian named Guilherme Marcondes and it’s based off the William Blake poem “The Tyger”. He weaves illustration, puppetry, photgraphy, and CGI brilliantly. It’s pure magic.
