Salazar x Creative

Skate Video by Salazar for Creative. I kinda dig how they introduced color in this and made it a physical element rather than doing something in post.

Salazar x Lifetime

A promo piece Salazar did for Lifetime Collective. Beautiful, timeless, and paced so elegantly, you forget that you just sat in front of a computer for 4 minutes.

Focus Features

Oh WOW. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like Tim Burton can do no wrong? Watching this trailer gave me the impression that he’s at it again. This time he’s joined forces with Timur Bekmambetov and from what I can tell, their union gave fruit to something ridiculously dope. Read the NYT review here.

“Basic Space” by The xx

Reblogged from my brooklyn is better (thx Tony!). I absolutely fell in love with this song and I can’t stop viewing the video. You don’t need fancy shit to make something dope. Simple beauty.

Super super

Super Cinq, a design studio in Paris, has a sick body of work. A few examples below…

“Le BĂ©ret de la Tortue”

“We’re All Mad Here”

Design for French skateboard brand Gamble. (How awesome is that left skateboard?!)

The (Olympus) PEN Story

OK, so I’m a geek. I was reading up on the newly remodeled Olympus PEN (I want it bad…) the other day and then, came across the ad for it today. Holy shit – I’d say it’s stop motion at it’s best. I actually forgot that it was an ad. Pretty damn slick I’d say.

Apparently, they shot 60,000 images, printed 9,600 of them and then shot another 1,800 in order to create this video. Holy…. and tunes by Johannes Stankowski.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

He was pure magic…
